Like the sands,
life is fleeting,
grains fall to the ground.
A soldier fallen,
mourned by love,
marching to an unheard sound.
He takes your stand.
You take his life,
and send him home with a flag.
Your banner waves,
his child sees
another body in a bag.
The lies of war,
you feed them well,
"Raise your hands into the sky!"
Civilian's gone,
a soldier born,
and with his breath a child dies.
"Take your hammer,
take your hoe,
lay them down for the gun.
Fight for freedom,
then for honor,
Fight until the war is done."
